Handan Cultural Center
The entrance of the library was inspired by the idea of folded clean paper while the access to the museum represented the roughness of stone with slits through which light arose like lava. The exterior overlapping plates were illuminated in such way to highlight their relief. In the interior of the Cultural Center, the extense wall was covered with metallic reddish tones which melted like lava on the volcanic colour of the lower part. The concert hall was inspired by early sunset colour palette when all the sky appears to be intense red, a collage of different solid shades was used to represent it. On the ceiling of the stage, light effects helped creating the focus point of the ambiance, giving orange hues to the scene and playing with the sensation of light.
