Alain Bony has been working for more than 30 years alongside architects to try and make the architectural vision more sensible and bring it closer to a piece of art.

He has worked on interventions of different scales in many countries and has widely collaborated with world-renowned architects like Jean Nouvel, Paul Andreu and Cui Kai, among others.

His aim is to generate meaning through his interventions, to enrich the quality of the space and to arouse a response from those who inhabit, contemplate or visit a building.

When he begins to think of a new project, the key of the artwork relies on a strong concept or idea, driven by the context and culture of where it is located.

Some of his most celebrated interventions include several concert halls, museums and skycrapers.

During his first years working alongside Jean Nouvel, his interventions were mainly linked to the practice of painting, history of art and experimentation of different currents; always anchored to contemporary society.

Nowadays, his studio works with innovative materials, textures and colours, including lighting effects and other resources; focusing constantly on discovering new ways to create artistic expressions.

“My job is to create an ambiance and arouse emotion on a large scale. When a facade is treated in an interesting way, it can transmit as much pleasure as a work of art."
