Culture and Convention Center (KKL)
The exterior of the building was intervened mainly with a solid colour yet featuring certain areas of different shades seeking to reflect the surroundings and to create a sensation of light. The interior instead is warm, evoking the intense burgundy of red wine tones, playing with areas of matte and brilliance and contrasting with the cold, blue outside which can be perceived by the little windows on the corridors.
This environmental colour approach conceived an exciting contrast between the exterior and the interior of the building in an attempt of the artist for evoking a response from whoever visited the cultural center. Inside the concert hall, the whiteness of the ambience recalls materials such as plaster or chalk and it plays with the saturated colours filtered from the echo rooms behind giving a distinctive character to this special room.
