Oriental Art Center

Alain Bony is adamant that when intervening a concert hall there are two possible ways of giving the public a unique experience; either pushing to the limit and creating a focus of attention, a work of art by itself; or seeking to create certain drama while respecting that the public's attention might be concentrated on the theatrical work that is being performed. In this particular case he chose the latter.

In one of the theater’s salons a sculpting intervention was made on the great plaster panels of the walls, giving the impression of teared up fabric or striated surface and the choice of a deep red colour aimed to transmit a dramatic sense to the ambience though keeping the classic spirit of ancient concert halls.
